To help you find your way around and feel comfortable at our place, we provide you with the following information:
AREA OF APPLICATION
The European Youth Education Center Magdeburg in the house of Villa Böckelmann, Lüttgen-Ottersleben 18a + 19a, 39116 Magdeburg, Germany is operated by the Bildungsnetzwerk Magdeburg gGmbH (BNW).
The house rules apply to all areas and premises of Villa Böckelmann, including all access routes as well as outdoor, open and parking areas (hereinafter: premises). Upon entering the premises of Villa Böckelmann, guests and visitors, regardless of whether they are participating in events or are in the premises for other reasons, recognize the validity of these house rules.
Violations of the house rules may result in immediate expulsion from the premises, exclusion from events or, in severe cases, a permanent ban from the house.
Arrival
We welcome you to arrive by public transport. Directions for public as well as private transportation can be found on our website. For public transportation times, please visit insa.de or ask at our reception desk.
You can usually move into the rooms as of 2:00 pm. An earlier arrival is of course possible, but without any claim to the availability of your room. For the allocation of room keys and for statistical purposes, all guests must register in a room list. The Bildungsnetzwerk Magdeburg gGmbH treats your data confidentially and uses them in accordance with the provisions of data protection law, which are regulated for the processing of personal data in Chapter 2 (Art. 5-11) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 DSGV. You can view our privacy policy on our website.
There are two keys on your key ring - one for your room door and one for the front door of the villa. Please always lock the front door of the villa when leaving after after 8:00 pm.
Departure
Please vacate your rooms by by 9:30 am on the day of departure and return all keys received to the front desk or house staff. In case of key loss we charge EUR 50.00. Please also pay any outstanding private amounts (e.g. for drinks, copies) on the day of departure.
Use of the seminar rooms and guest rooms
Please treat all rooms, furnishings and materials of Villa Böckelmann with care.
A use of self-brought electrical devices (eg cell phone, hair dryer, etc.) is at your own risk. The operation of kettles, coffee makers, hotplates and similar Appliances is prohibited. Costs arising from grossly negligent or wilful damage to the building or the facilities will be charged to the group or the party responsible.
Only registered guests are authorized to stay on our premises, including the guest rooms, or to participate in the catering. The consumption as well as the preparation of self-brought food and beverages in the premises of Villa Böckelmann is not permitted.
The guest rooms will not be cleaned during your stay. If you have any needs in this regard, please let us know.
Night rest
In the interest of all guests as well as local residents, strict night rest is to be observed from 10 pm to 7:30 am, especially in the guest house and in the outdoor area of the villa. An exception to the night's rest for private celebrations and other events can be made in consultation with the staff of Villa Böckelmann.
Dining hours
Our meal times are:
8 - 9 am Breakfast
12 noon - 1:30 pm Lunch
6 - 7:30 pm Dinner
A room with sufficient seating is available for all guests to take their meals. Please plan your seminar sessions accordingly. A change in meal times is only possible in special cases and by prior arrangement.
Till 8 pm, service personnel will be available in our in-house meeting room to serve beverages.
Television room
To make your stay as pleasant as possible, you can use our TV room on the 1st floor at any time for evening entertainment.
Office hours
For inquiries, the staff in the administration is available at the following times: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm each. Please contact our service and kitchen staff in the evenings or on weekends. Please note that our facility is not staffed continuously.
Sensitive smoke detectors.
All our guest rooms, seminar rooms and hallways are equipped with sensitive smoke detectors. We therefore ask you to comply with the absolute ban on smoking in the guest and main house, as well as to be mindful when using deodorant, hairspray or the like. An intervention of the fire department costs approx. EUR 750. Should such a fire department operation be triggered by failure to comply with the smoking ban and this notice or other negligent or deliberate behavior, the costs are borne by the originator.
Behavior in case of fire
In case of fire, please immediately leave all premises of Villa Böckelmann and come to the assembly point. If necessary, inform the fire department as well as other guests. Current escape and rescue plans can be found in our hallways and in each guest room.
First aid kit
You will find a first-aid kit with our staff at the reception and in the kitchen.

In extreme emergencies and if no Villa Böckelmann staff members are present, please call 0152 - 152 547 123 16.
Disclaimer of liability
We ask you to take care of your own private belongings outside your room. We are not liable for any lost items.
Parking
Parking spaces are available on the grounds of Villa Böckelmann for the cars of our guests. We accept no liability for damage, including damage caused by natural events, or theft.
Waste prevention / energy and water saving.
We ask that you help us to avoid waste and use energy and water sparingly. Our seminar rooms are generally equipped with three-piece trash cans that allow for waste separation.
Youth Education Center
As part of our activities as a youth education center, we are subject to compliance with legal guidelines, in particular the Youth Protection Act, Youth Media Protection and the Narcotics Act. We assume with youth groups of external organizers that these legalities are known and their compliance is secured. Accordingly, supervisory duties are to be clarified by the organizer. We ask the supervisors and speakers to point out our house rules to their groups.
