It is election year. Many young people get to vote for the 1st time, while others are getting ready to be 1st time voters. So let’s familiarize ourselves with voting processes to make sure we are being heard.
This Youth Exchange aims to bring young people together to explore different avenues of democratic participation - even for those that are not (yet) eligible to vote. We also want to familiarize young people with democratic processes in general.

The EJBM regularly offers various international youth exchanges in Magdeburg with different topics and learning objectives.
Es wird kalt in Europa – nicht nur, was das Wetter angeht . Antidemokratische Tendenzen und Gruppierungen erfahren zunehmend einen Aufschwung. Wie man dieser Entwicklung in der Arbeit mit jungen Menschen begegnen kann, haben wir letzte Woche mit 20 Fachkräfte aus Deutschland, Spanien, Griechenland und den Niederlanden erörtert.

? In den letzten zwei Novemberwochen haben wir wieder 15 polnische Auszubildende in der EJBM begrüßt. Die Auszubildenden zur Köchin ?? ?? haben zwei Wochen lang als Auslandspraktikum unsere Mitarbeiter*innen in der Küche und bei einem Ausflug auch die Mitarbeiter*innen der Kantine im Landtag von Sachsen-Anhalt unterstützt und dabei viel Neues über die Arbeit als Köchin gelernt.

Ein volles Europa-Jahr mit zahlreichen Veranstaltungen, Begegnungen und Informationsangeboten neigt sich dem Ende entgegen – und mit der Europawahl 2024 liegt ein noch spannenderes Jahr vor uns. Grund genug, sich zum Jahresabschluss noch einmal zu treffen, Erfahrungen zu teilen und mögliche Kooperationen in 2024 auszuloten.
Du arbeitest mit jungen Menschen und fragst dich, wie man junge Menschen helfen kann, sich politisches Gehör zu verschaffen? Oder wie man in der Kinder- und Jugendarbeit antidemokratischen Tendenzen begegnen kann?
Seit Anfang des Monats findet unser ESK Teams "Unlocking Access for All" statt.
Gemeinsam mit der Berufsbildende Schulen Mansfeld-Südharz konnten wir angehende Sozialpädagog/innen in einem mehrtägigen Seminar zum Thema „Interkulturelle Kompetenzen – Differenz und Vielfalt“ auf auf die vielfältigen Herausforderungen bezüglich Vielfalt und Inklusion in der Arbeit von Kindertageseinrichtungen (Kitas) vorbereiten.

Die Zeit für unser zweites internationales Training im Rahmen des KA2-Projekts “We Care – Mentale Gesundheit in der europäischen Jugendarbeit” ist gekommen!
Mentale Gesundheit ist dieses Jahr auch das Thema unserer Fachkräftefortbildung diese Woche. Fachkräfte aus Spanien, Frankreich, den Niederlanden, Rumänien und Deutschland treffen sich diese Woche und tauschen sich zur Relevanz mentaler Gesundheit in der Kinder- und Jugendarbeit aus.
Diese Woche findet bei uns eine Jugendbegegnung unter dem Motto "We care" statt.
Heute haben wir uns sehr über den Besuch von Sozialministerin Petra Grimm-Benne gefreut, die der Europäischen Jugendbildungsstätte Magdeburg eine Zuwendung in Höhe von 52.246 Euro überreichte.

Anlässlich des 60-jährigen Elysée-Vertrags sind letztes Wochenende 50 junge Menschen aus ganz Sachsen-Anhalt in der Europäischen Jugendbildungsstätte Magdeburg zusammengekommen.
This ESC Teams is all about access.
The activities of this ESC Teams will be twofold: there will be hands on manual work as well as project based work.
The main topics of this ESC Teams are access and inclusivity, therefore these will be the key areas of learning. The methods of this ESC range from practical hands-on to more technical and organisational.
Handicraft work will be professionally guided, if necessary. Furthermore, pedagogically supervised opportunities for international exchange, networking and team building are offered.
Concerning the campaign for “Discover-EU inclusion”, participants will have the possibility to benefit from the expertise and experience of the pedagogical team as well.
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with generally four people (towels and sheets are provided) at the European Youth Educational Centre Magdeburg. Since our facilities can also be booked by outside groups, the living arrangements can be subject to change due to bookings by outside groups. The volunteers will be provided with food to prepare meals with the group (unless meals are provided by the organisation) as well as 7€ pocket money per day.
