Values in Action – Building Partnerships for Human Rights, Democracy and European Values

Join us for an inspiring and collaborative event at the European Youth Education Centre Magdeburg!

This Partnership Building Activity provides a platform for both established EJBM partner organisations and new potential partners, including organisations, educational institutions and civil society actors interested in developing international cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme. Our aim is to strengthen existing partnerships while building new connections with organisations from across Europe that share a commitment to human rights education, democratic participation and the promotion of European values.

The activity will provide space for participants to exchange experiences, work on joint quality standards, share practices and identify opportunities for future cooperation.

Objectives

  • Strengthen existing partnerships and establish new connections with organisations committed to human rights education, democracy and European values.
  • Develop shared quality standards for international youth work, covering project preparation, implementation, evaluation and follow-up.
  • Identify common priorities and develop concrete opportunities for future cooperation, particularly within Erasmus+.

Dates: 7–10 December 2026
Location: European Youth Education Centre (EJBM), Magdeburg

Arrival: Afternoon of 7 December 2026
Departure: After breakfast on 10 December 2026

Agenda

  • Looking back at 2026: Reflect on previous collaborations, share achievements and lessons learned.
  • Sharing experiences and practices: Exchange successful educational approaches and discuss current challenges in international youth work.
  • Developing quality standards: Work together on common approaches to planning, implementing and evaluating international youth projects.
  • Planning for 2027: Connect with new and existing partners, develop project ideas and plan future youth exchanges and training activities.

Accommodation & Meals

Accommodation and meals are provided at the EJBM. Participants will usually stay in shared bedrooms (2 persons per room). Please indicate any dietary, accessibility or other special requirements in the registration form.

Costs & Funding

Accommodation, meals and programme costs are covered by our Erasmus+ Youth budget and funds from the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt. Travel costs are reimbursed according to the applicable Erasmus+ travel lump sums and distance bands.
