What is ESC Team volunteering?Short info
Short-term volunteer teams (team volunteering) are a type the European Solidarity Corps volunteer services: 10 to 40 young people from different countries in Europe meet for 2 to 8 weeks in order to work together on a project or on a specific topic.
Such a volunteer placement is a great opportunity to help where help is needed, learn new skills, spend time abroad, maybe learn a language - and definitely return with unforgettable memories. In addition to the project work, enough time and space is given to intercultural exchange during a joint leisure program.
Requirements
You don't need any special previous experience. European Solidarity Corps volunteering is open to people aged 18-30 who live in program and partner countries.
. There is a common working language (usually English) that you should be able to speak to some extent. Of course, you will also learn a few words in the language of the other participants.
Costs and financing
Volunteer services in the framework of the European Solidarity Corps are generally free of charge. The costs for accommodation, meals and insurance are paid for you. Your travel expenses for getting there and back will be reimbursed (up to a certain limit). In addition, you will be paid an allowance per day for personal expenses. Volunteers also have access to a range of support services such as language training and educational courses.
Additional costs for special needs (such as disabilities) may also be covered.

In the quiet district of Ottersleben, in the very south of Magdeburg, the European Youth Education Centre is located in the Villa Böckelmann, a heritage-protected neo-Renaissance building. Surrounded by an elegant landscape park and equipped with a spacious garden, this special place offers our guests an ideal setting for exchange, educational work and joint learning.
