Located in the heart of Europe, in the state capital of Magdeburg, the European Youth Education Centre (EJBM) offers a unique venue for associations, organisations, groups and companies looking for an inspiring setting for their events – whether it’s a seminar, training, retreat, teambuilding or workshop.
Our 130+ beds are spread across the charming attic of the listed Villa Böckelmann and the adjacent modern guest house. Whether you're a small working group or a large delegation – we’ve got the space you need. A spacious garden just outside invites guests to relax, play or work in a natural setting. And when the weather doesn’t cooperate, our stylish historic lounge offers a cosy alternative.
For larger events such as conferences, professional meetings or strategy retreats, we provide ample space, flexible seminar equipment and an experienced team. Our in-house catering makes it easy to book full-service packages with meals and accommodation – all from one provider. Our large hall is a true all-rounder: With professional sound equipment and optional video technology and stage, it's ready for any event format – from panel discussions and workshops to dinner galas. Fun fact: For more social events, the hall can be extended to include the adjacent bar room (+32 m²).

This seminar room impresses with its brightness and view: large windows let in plenty of daylight and create a pleasant working atmosphere. This seminar and community room is located on the ground floor of our guest house. Equipped with a mini kitchen, fridge, and access to a covered terrace, it is particularly suited for focused sessions with small to medium-sized teams.
With over 140 beds in the attic of our Wilhelminian-style villa and the adjoining modern accommodation building, both small and large groups will find a comfortable place to stay.
Right outside the door, our garden area invites you to relax, play or even work – and it seamlessly merges into a 25,000 m² landscaped park. If the weather isn’t ideal, our historic lounge provides a cosy indoor alternative.
The multi-purpose rooms in the accommodation building are perfect for cooking, working or dining together. And for those looking to unwind, our VR and cinema equipment is available to try out.

The EJBM is easily accessible by coach or public transport. We’ve put together the best routes for you here.
Coaches can park in our courtyard. For especially large buses or longer stays, we recommend our parallel street (Niendorfer Str.).
We’re also happy to arrange a shuttle service for you (e.g. from/to the main station) for an additional fee. Just get in touch or note your request in the message field of the booking request form.
All our beds come fully made up at no extra charge.
The EJBM is located at the southern end of Magdeburg but is well connected to the city centre via public transport.

The City of Magdeburg levies a lodging tax (tourist tax) of 5% on the gross overnight price. This tax is not included in the prices listed on this page. The lodging tax does not apply to:

Our full board includes a generous breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner from our in-house kitchen. Based on your daily schedule, one of these meals will be warm.
Our half board includes breakfast and a warm evening meal.
We’re happy to tailor your meals to your preferences. For some special requests (e.g. vegan, halal, etc.), we reserve the right to charge a small extra fee. We also accommodate allergies, intolerances, and other dietary needs.
Other wishes (e.g. BBQ in the garden, birthdays, lunchboxes) can also be arranged. Please let us know before booking or note them in the message field of the booking request form.
You’re welcome to use our equipment and leisure rooms with your group. However, we cannot guarantee availability on your preferred date.
Please get in touch with us in advance if you'd like to include our garden, equipment or specific rooms in your programme – we’ll gladly reserve them for you.
The park behind the EJBM is also available for your use, but please note it is public space and not part of the EJBM premises.
