From November 2nd to 6th, we had the great pleasure of welcoming 15 young people from Georgia to the European Youth Education Centre Magdeburg (EJBM). Their visit aimed to deepen their understanding of voluntary social engagement while gaining fresh perspectives and inspiration for their own projects.

The group had previously developed an impressive volunteer project on animal protection in their region as part of their university studies. This initiative earned them the opportunity to participate in this study trip. Their time in Magdeburg was packed with exciting highlights:

Exchange and Inspiration: Visits to the Volunteer Agency Magdeburg and the Youth Center Ottersleben offered fascinating insights into local youth work and volunteer initiatives.

Workshops at the EJBM: Topics such as international youth work, European values, the Council of Europe, and mental health took center stage. These sessions were enriched with lively discussions and creative approaches.

Cultural and Historical Insights: A visit to the Marienborn Memorial of the Division of Germany and a city rally through Magdeburg provided valuable historical and cultural perspectives.

A true highlight was the opportunity for the Georgian group to meet the international volunteer team currently active at the EJBM as part of the European Solidarity Corps. This inspiring exchange showcased how European solidarity can thrive across borders.

The visit was an enriching experience for everyone involved. We are deeply impressed by the commitment and passion of the young people from Georgia and look forward to following their journey. Thank you for your visit—and we hope to see you again soon!
