From 30 August to 1 September 2024, it was once again time for the Saxony-Anhalt Day, which attracted thousands to the Hanseatic city of Stendal, and we from the EJBM were right in the middle of it! We had our stand at the ‘Weltoffenes Sachsen-Anhalt’ festival grounds and a very special highlight in tow: our ‘Living Library’.
At our ‘Living Library’, guests were able to ‘borrow’ various young people and talk to them about their experiences abroad – e.g. during voluntary service, youth exchanges, as au pairs or during internships. In casual conversations, they shared valuable tips and their very personal experiences. And for those who got itchy feet, we had all the information they needed to discover Europe for little or no cost.
A big thank you to our youth advisory board, our "Team Europe" and our international volunteers who made themselves available as living books (all books were returned on time and in largely good condition).
We are particularly pleased about the numerous consultations on mobility programmes, exchange opportunities and educational offers on European politics. Whether for apprentices, pupils, teachers or professionals in youth work – our team was available to answer questions about funding programmes, exchange programmes and further training opportunities.
