Togehter with a group of dedicated young volunteers from across Europe, we visited the Vocational School I of the Salzland District WEMA in Staßfurt on 3rd December 2024. These volunteers, who support us as part of the European Solidarity Corps, shared their personal experiences and perspectives, fostering a vibrant and inspiring exchange.
Our goal: To inspire approximately 80 vocational students from the fields of business and healthcare to explore the opportunities of Erasmus+ internships abroad and initiate concrete placements.
The focus of the event included:
- Support for foreign language classes (French, Spanish, English). Our volunteers shared their personal experiences and motivations for spending time in another country, offering first-hand language insights in the process.
- Erasmus+ counselling: As members of our Erasmus+ Mobility Consortium, WEMA trainees benefit from a simplified process to access funding for internships abroad.
Our mission remains clear: To broaden European horizons and strengthen international competencies. Thanks to Erasmus+ and the dedication of young volunteers, we enable practical experiences abroad that enrich both professional and personal perspectives. During our visit, initial arrangements for internships were already initiated—an important step towards increasing mobility figures in the Salzland District.
