We are looking for hands on young people to help us improve our educational youth center. While there will be some hands-on activities that involve light physical labour, there will be plenty of opportunity to be creative in your own projects.
This ESC Teams will be hands on- supporting us with various projects on our premises. Nevertheless, Participants will get the choice to be creative in their own projects. Depending on their skills and interests, they will get the possibility to get insights into various aspects of our work like youth exchanges, training course and being a place where people come to learn in general.
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with generally four people (towels and sheets are provided) at the European Youth Educational Centre Magdeburg. Since our facilities can also be booked by outside groups, the living arrangements can be subject to change due to bookings by outside groups. The volunteers will be provided with food to prepare meals with the group (unless meals are provided by the organisation) as well as 7€ pocket money per day.

The EJBM regularly offers various international training courses in Magdeburg with different topics and learning objectives.
It is election year. Many young people get to vote for the 1st time, while others are getting ready to be 1st time voters. So let’s familiarize ourselves with voting processes to make sure we are being heard.
Participation in an international youth exchange at the European Youth Education Center Magdeburg is free of charge. Accommodation in shared rooms and full board are included. Underage participants are supervised by their team leaders or pedagogical staff of the EJBM.
This Youth Exchange aims to bring young people together to explore different avenues of democratic participation - even for those that are not (yet) eligible to vote. We also want to familiarize young people with democratic processes in general.

It's getting cold in Europe - and not just when it comes to our weather. Anti-democratic tendencies and groups are on the rise. Last week, we discussed how this development can be countered in our work with young people with 20 experts from Germany, Spain, Greece and the Netherlands.

? In the last two weeks of November, we once again welcomed 15 Polish trainees to EJBM. The cook apprentices ?? ?? spent two weeks as an internship abroad supporting our staff in the kitchen and, on an excursion, the canteen staff in the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament, where they learnt a lot about working as a cook.
